Wow! Full Circle, Indeed.

It's so funny coming back to see this page after 11 years. I started this blog soooooo long ago for a class, and now my life has gone full circle. I have embarked on another blogging journey that involves me creating sites that are of interest to me, but that can also be resources to other people. To this point, I have created several websites that touch on RVs, camping, indoor gardening, dogs, and the minimalist lifestyle and design, etc.

So, if anyone ever sees this page, take a look at where life has taken me!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Day 5

Well, it’s day five and we are down to our final blog and I must say that I actually enjoy this. Sometimes, you never really get to get your feelings out and this type of outlet is a great tool for anyone who wants to maintain their sanity. But, on to the re-cap of my day…

Today was pretty cool. I am so so very happy that it is Friday. On top of that, it is payday. Who could ask for more? Another great part of today is that work was so slow that we were pretty much joking around and playing games. The bad part is that I am so drained and not even from today. I think the week itself has sucked me dry of any energy. Between the five papers that I wrote in 3 days and the intensive work on these web classes, I am pooped! I am so very happy that this semester is officially over (after I submit and post this blog, that is).

It has been a fun few five days (give or take a couple days) and like I said before, I kind of enjoy this opportunity to vent. I am going to have to keep this up. Thanks to Professor Strong for “forcing” me to create this blog for class!

Until next time…

Day 4...well, kinda

Hello all,

I am back. I know I cheated a couple days and did not make my daily entries. But I am back and I will probably have to double it up today. So, for this first one I will go into how the last few days have been. If I could put it into one word, I would probably say they have been majorly stressful. If you can recall from my last blog, I revealed that I am a chronic procrastinator. Well, it has not stopped.

In a labor law class that I just finished up with we are required to do case analyses for each of our 5 covered units. We were also to present them in class prior to writing them throughout the semester. So essentially, after your present you pretty much already have your entire paper written. From the point you can immediately do the paper. Well, not me! I waited until Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening to complete them. And guess what? They were due on Wednesday evening. But I got them done on time and I consider them pretty good actually. It makes me wonder sometimes though; maybe procrastination is not a bad thing for some people. I seem to do my best work under pressure. But hey, that’s just me!

More coming soon…

Day 3

It's me again!

…And crap! I did absolutely nothing this weekend, as far as school goes at least. I pretty much bummed around on Saturday. I don’t even remember leaving the house. And then on Sunday, I went to church. The thing is, I went to church at about 7:30am meaning I was out at about 9:30am. So, I should have had time, right? Yes, I should have but one of my shortcomings is my tendency to procrastinate and I know that many of my fellow students are in the same boat.

Anyways, my day so far is going great. We are having a food day at work and food is always great. Especially when it is SUSHI! That is probably one of my favorite types of food. It is so funny to see how some of my co-workers react to some of the dishes. For instance, we ordered one called the Caterpillar Roll, which is basically eel, rice, and avocado. It probably does not sound too appetizing, but it is great. The eel is what throws everyone off, but once you taste it with its complementary unagi sauce, you will be hooked. Enough about sushi, I am approaching my 200-word mark…and I just hit it!

Talk to you later!

Day 2

Hello all,
It’s Lauren Norwood back for another 200-word installment. In keeping with my last entry, let’s talk about how today is going. We solved the ever-so-confusing Windows Media metafile thing. Of course, my mother, with her magic touch, was able to fix it. She gets on my nerves (lol). Just kidding, she’s great! It was a simple fix though. I just kept forgetting to add an “/” at the end of the code. I was and am still so angry with myself because I could have done that myself. Nevertheless, my Windows Media linked and embedded streams are up and ready to go. Now for RealMedia and Quicktime. Unfortunately, I cannot test it at work since the only media player that we are allowed to use here is Windows Media. I have added the links, but who knows if they work? I guess I will have to check them tonight...

But wait, it is Friday night. That is probably not going to happen. All is know is that it absolutely has to be done by December 12th. And believe me, it will be.

Geez, is this 200 words yet? I got smart today and typed this out in Word first so I can tell when I have hit 200. And it looks like I just did.

Stay tuned…

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello world,
Let's start with what's going on today!

Today is a pretty normal day. I got up today and went right off to work which is pretty much my usual routine. Work is pretty cool today. I've been working on my web classes today. I have three which (I'll be honest!) I just started to really get into today. In my 421P class you have to create a website with several media links. I got through the simple links just fine, but these darned metafiles are killing me! I feel like I have it right, but the link will not stream. Who knows? My mom is going to help me tonight...stay tuned!

...Ok, so as it turns out, I looked back at my assignment page and it seems that I am supposed to make each blog entry a minimum of 200 words so I guess I am going to have to beef this one up a little. So...what next? I guess I'll talk more about my day. I'm so happy I have a job where I can do my homework. Otherwise, it would be totally impossible for me to even go to school this semester. Unfortunately, no work equals no money. And no money equals no tuition. There definitely truth in that stupid cliche: "it's a vicious cycle." I really hope I have hit 200 words because I'm trying to save some material for my next 200-word installment. TTYL!
